New ambassadors are selected using a variety of criteria: academics, campus involvement, knowledge of the university, spirit, personality, and poise. They are also selected to try to represent a cross-section of Georgia College.

Student Ambassador Team officers Elyssa Sanner, President; P.J. Schinella, Vice-President; Patty Maguire, Secretary; Bren Thomas, Historian; and Brad Cone, Parliamentarian interviewed 72 applicants to choose the 20 new ambassadors.
