GCSU Max Noah Singers take their act on the road

The Georgia College & State University Max Noah Singers will be kicking off their 'Oratorio at Christmas' tour in South Carolina and finishing up their travels in Milledgeville, Georgia.

The GCSU Max Noah Singers will embark on a musical tour hitting locations in North and South Carolina in addition to a couple within Georgia.

The tour will begin Dec. 11 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lexington, S.C., followed by Sharon United Methodist Church in Charlotte, N.C., on Dec. 12; First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, Ga. on Dec. 14; and then wrapping it up at First Presbyterian Church in Milledgeville on Dec. 15.

All concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. aside from the performance at Sharon United Methodist Church which begins at 7 p.m.

The 'Oratorio at Christmas' performances will include works from an array of composers. Pieces from Camille Saint-Säens, Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Meira Warshauer, Gustav Holst, John Rutter, Morten Lauridsen, William Dawson, Richard Greene, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, and Franz Gruber will all be featured in the performances.

Each concert will be dedicated to family members or loved ones who have passed away recently in order to remember those who have been lost and will be dearly missed during this holiday season. The names will be published in the programs available at every performance.

The GCSU Max Noah Singers are excited to receive an opportunity to travel and share their musical talents with new audiences.
