Georgia Gives Day: Give back to Georgia College

Georgia College is a proud supporter and participant of nonprofit efforts across the state.

The Georgia Center for Nonprofits will launch Georgia Gives Day on Thursday, Dec. 6. 

The purpose of the initiative is to bring the state together as one community and raise as much money and awareness as possible for Georgia nonprofits within a 24-hour flash mob of giving.

One hundred percent of proceeds will go directly to participating nonprofits by donating through

Officially declared Georgia Gives Day by Gov. Nathan Deal, the initiative includes more than 1,000 participating nonprofits.

Partners and corporate sponsors include John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Community Foundation of Central Georgia, Georgia Power and The Coca-Cola Co.

Donations to Georgia College will support its Heritage Fund, which provides support to vital campus projects and programs such as student scholarships; improved academic facilities; classroom technology; faculty research; and various student, alumni and community events.

The university takes pride in creating opportunities for students to apply their classroom lessons in real-world experiences; building strong relationships with area alumni and connecting to the local community in meaningful ways.
