GC Career Center holds Career Expo, Non-Profit Careers Panel

More than 50 employers plan to attend the annual Career Expo sponsored by Georgia College Career Center.

Students in the College of Business and the College of Arts & Sciences will speak face-to-face with potential employers including Enterprise Holdings, Disney College program, Clear Channel Radio in Macon, GEICO, Philips Arena and Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

“The Career Expo is our biggest event all year, and it's one that seniors cannot miss,” said Mary Roberts, director of the Georgia College Career Center. “Each year, we have several students who get interviews and, as a result, find a job or internship through this event.”

Following the Career Expo, the Non-Profit Career Panel will meet 4 to 5 p.m. in rooms Maple A and B, providing students the opportunity to get an insider’s perspective about careers in the nonprofit arena. Panelists include representatives from Goodwill, Hands on Atlanta, Susan G. Koman, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

In addition to making personal connections with potential employers in both corporate and nonprofit arenas, each attendee also will receive a free GC Career Center T-shirt.
